Mr. LaMarre, holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago, IL, and a J.D. from John Marshall Law School.

Mr. LaMarre is a member of the Illinois Bar and the patent bar.

Mr. LaMarre has expertise in prosecuting chemical and mechanical patent applications to issuance in such diverse areas as polymers, combustion technology, flue gas treatment processes, automotive air bags, mineral processing, mine safety devices and nuclear reactor targets.


Mr. LaMarre also has expertise in patent related searching.

Mr. LaMarre has more than 20 years experience in patent prosecution. He has worked for the U.S. Department of Energy, Morton International, Chicago, Amoco Corporation, Chicago, Illinois and in private practice. Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Mr. LaMarre worked as a chemical engineer at USG Corporation, Chicago, Illinois.

Mr. LaMarre’s duties at the firm include patent prosecution, opinion writing, searching, and licensing.
